Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 29 October 2026
These terms explain how to use this website and purchase photographic prints through our personal enquiry service. Muhammad Ali Prints is operated by ChrisSmithPhotography, referred to below as “we”, “us” and “our”.
1. About us and contacting us
For questions about these terms or a purchase, email orders@chrissmithphotography.co.uk, telephone +44 7976 659721, or use our contact form. Our address is 29 Laurel Road, Hampton Hill, TW12 1JL, United Kingdom.
Please allow up to 24 hours for a reply. Contact us before sending a return so we can confirm the return arrangements.
2. Enquiries and quotations
This website is an enquiry-only gallery. There is no online checkout. Viewing a print, selecting an option or submitting an enquiry does not place an order, reserve an edition or commit you to a purchase.
We will discuss your chosen photograph, edition availability, print size, framing and delivery destination, then provide a written quotation. Before payment, we will confirm the seller and contact details, the print specifications, the total price including any applicable taxes, framing and delivery charges, payment arrangements, estimated production and delivery times, and the cancellation and returns information that applies to your purchase.
If a quotation has a time limit, we will state it in writing. Availability must be confirmed for your chosen print.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP), unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing. Muhammad Ali limited-edition prints start at £2,200. The final price depends on the photograph, edition, size and framing. Sports photographs and the David Hockney portfolio are quoted individually.
Please review the quotation before paying. We will provide payment instructions personally. Do not send payment-card details through the enquiry form or by email.
Website prices may change for future purchases. Changes to website prices or these terms do not alter a purchase already confirmed with you.
4. Order confirmation
A purchase becomes binding only after we have received payment and sent you written order confirmation. A quotation, an enquiry acknowledgement or a payment receipt alone is not order confirmation.
Please check the written confirmation and contact us promptly if any details are incorrect. If we cannot accept your purchase after receiving payment, we will notify you and refund the payment without undue delay.
If we discover a pricing or availability error before confirmation, we will explain it and ask whether you wish to proceed on the corrected terms. We will not substitute a different print, change the agreed specifications or increase an agreed price without your consent. Any issue affecting a confirmed purchase will be discussed with you and handled in accordance with your legal rights.
5. Print descriptions, editions and framing
The written quotation and order confirmation will identify the photograph, edition details, dimensions, printing materials and framing included in your purchase. Please ask us about any specification that is important to you before payment.
Website photographs and lifestyle images illustrate the artwork and possible presentation. Screen settings can affect how an image appears, and lifestyle images should not be used to judge dimensions. These limitations do not affect your right to receive a print that matches its agreed description.
6. Production and delivery
Production, dispatch and estimated delivery times are confirmed individually before payment. Timing depends on the print, framing requirements and destination. Tell us before payment if a particular delivery date is essential, so we can confirm whether we can agree to it.
Worldwide delivery is available, subject to arrangements confirmed for your destination. Shipping charges will be included in your quotation. International customers are responsible for applicable customs duties or import taxes, as explained before payment.
We will confirm packaging arrangements and provide dispatch confirmation and tracking information where available. If a delay arises, we will contact you. Your legal rights relating to late or failed delivery are unaffected.
Please check your delivery address and tell us promptly if it needs correcting. If a print arrives damaged or does not arrive within the estimated delivery window, contact us with your purchase details so we can assist. Where we arrange delivery, the goods remain our responsibility until you, or a person you nominate to receive them, takes physical possession.
Further details are in our Shipping Policy.
7. Cancellations, returns and refunds
If you wish to cancel a purchase or change its details, contact us as soon as possible. We will check its status and explain the options available. Production or dispatch status does not remove any statutory cancellation or other consumer rights.
Our existing voluntary returns policy lasts 30 days from the date of purchase. Its conditions, return arrangements and refund process are set out in our Refund and Returns Policy.
The voluntary policy is additional to your statutory rights. For distance purchases, a statutory right to cancel may also apply, normally allowing you to notify us within 14 days after delivery. Where it applies, that right and the applicable legal refund and return rules take precedence over any narrower condition in our voluntary policy, including its purchase-date limit or sale-item exclusion. We will provide the applicable cancellation information before you purchase.
You also retain your legal rights if goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements. Nothing in these terms or our policies excludes or restricts those rights.
8. Copyright and use of photographs
Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the photographs and website content remain with their respective rights holders. Purchasing a physical print does not transfer copyright or grant permission to reproduce, publish, distribute or commercially exploit the image.
Please contact us about licensing or reproduction permissions. Nothing in this section restricts uses permitted by applicable law.
9. Privacy and enquiries
We use the information you provide to respond to enquiries and administer purchases as described in our Privacy Policy. Sending an enquiry does not grant us permission to publish your message, photographs or other submitted material.
10. Using this website
Please use the website lawfully. Do not attempt to disrupt its operation, gain unauthorised access, submit malicious code or infringe another person’s rights.
We take reasonable care with website information but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; those websites have their own terms and privacy policies. These points do not limit our responsibilities for purchases you make with us.
11. Our responsibilities
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of a contract with you or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence or was contemplated by both parties when the contract was made.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
12. Changes, applicable law and complaints
We may update these terms for future website use and purchases. The terms and written purchase details agreed when your order is confirmed apply to that purchase; later updates do not retrospectively change it.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not remove mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings in a court available to you under applicable law where you live.
If you have a concern or complaint, please contact orders@chrissmithphotography.co.uk with your purchase details and a description of the issue. We will work with you to resolve it. Please allow up to 24 hours for an initial reply.
